we recently heard from one of our talented readers inviting us to share her lovely home in Luxembourg with you. one look and we were most enthused to give you a tour! as a lifelong admirer of beautiful things, designer angela opened Angela van der Meulen Wallcoverings + Textiles with a desire to bring beauty and fresh but enduring style to the marketplace, as well as her love for good design. her journey and exploration into this new collection have been the most enjoyable aspects of angela’s new venture, which is most evident in the unique design of her stunning and eclectic home decor as well.
An American designer living and working in Europe, a couple of years ago, angela realized she was creating patterns that resonated with lots of people and so after much thinking, tweaking and trying, she launched her small collection of wallpapers, textiles and home accessories with designs that are all hand-drawn and then printed in a way that retains that artistic quality. Both angela’s life and her design work have been influenced strongly by her Italian roots, and specifically by her Italian grandmother Yolanda, but also a long affair with the French language and culture, her garden and the scent of flowers, by the joy that food and cooking brings, by clothes and textures, and also by the people who have she’s come across in life. You can see a look at Angela’s pretty Die cut flower wallpaper pattern (along with her cute pup) and some of her textiles (just below) and to see the entire collection of all of Angela’s gorgeous hand-rendered designs please visit her website and follow along on her lovely blog. In the meantime, let’s have a sneak peek into her inspiring home and studio.
