there’s something about a beautifully tiled floor that just make me want to take my shoes off. they’re so smooth and cool to the touch that it just feels great on to go barefoot — like you’re off on holiday somewhere tropical and exotic. i’ve been to vacation homes in mexico and parts of europe where tile floors are quite commonplace but here in the states, it seems like tile is just catching on — but in a very big way. it’s a trend you know i’m fond of — i’ve posted about it before, and the more i see it, the more i’m convinced tile is a look i want in my own home. the kitchen floor for sure — and if i could extend it out onto my outdoor patio, my heart (and feet!) would go pitter-pat!
